| School Liaison | Liz reports that more Reading Buddies are welcome at SES.Discussed a walking field trip to HPL next spring for SES, perhaps even a permanent Story Walk. Also an HPL presence at Parent-Teacher Open House at SES next spring. | Call Principal Ellen Suprenant to volunteer. Liz will talk with Ellen. Lorrie will research a possible grant for a Story Walk. |
| Book Club | Liz has chosen books for the 1st 6 months of 2025.Dec. 24 will be by email only. J, F, and M will be by Zoom only, 6 pm | Check the website. |
| Old Business | HPL will offer a Short Story Contest at Nokomis Middle School (gr. 5-8). Topic of students’ choice. Stories can be emailed or brought to HPL by 2/28. 1st place prize: $50, runner-up $25, announced 3/12.Display Case for Dec.: bells, stars, snowflakes. Jan.: tins, Feb.: vases and valentines. | Alex will publicize by a bulletin board and announcement at NMS. Jen and Lorrie will create a bulletin board at HPL.Bring items for Dec. by end of Nov. Also any Christmas decorations for a free giveaway table. |
