Friends of Hartland Public Library
April 17, 2025 | Meeting Minutes
Call to Order: 6:05 pm.
Present: Lorrie Sanborn, Irene White, Gail Jones, Diane Corbin, Liz Vezina, Jen Mabee. March Meeting Minutes: Accepted as written.
Reports:
● Librarian – Summer programs thus far: Sparks Ark, Mike the Bigfoot Hunter, Mr. Wes, End of summer party. The printer is in need of a maintenance kit. Library will have a booth at St. Albans Summer fest. Botanical Garden and Lake George passes will be available for May.
1. Friends voted to purchase maintenance kit for printer at an estimated cost of $300. ● Finance – Accepted as written. Balance = $2948.77.
● Publicity – Helen must limit amount of material sent to RTE, will post what is coming up for 1 week as opposed to 1 month. Liz continues to update website. Lorrie continues to update Facebook.
● School Liaison – May 16 Liz and/or Lorrie will attend Parent Day at Somerset Elementary. Unfortunately, there was not much interest shown in the Reading Buddies program.
● Book Club – Members voted on their choice for the summer Read Me book selection, American Breakdown by Jennifer Lunden was chosen. Meetings will resume in person on April 29th.
● Display Case – Comic books are in through May with extras being given out to local youth. In addition, Irene has arranged for the artwork of Eric Darling to be displayed in the library for the month of May.
Old Business: Upcoming Calender of Events
● Plant Sale – Saturday, May 17 | 8 am – 12 pm.
● Yard Sale – Saturday, June 21 | 8 am – 12 pm.
