Minutes | from Sep. 16th meeting were read and accepted. | |
Financial Report | Balance: $2558.96 | Jen purchased an air purifier. Mark needs to reimburse her $289, Irene $39 for plants, and Liz $79 for website maintenance. |
Librarian’s Report | Lorrie has been cleaning, weeding, decorating… For Children’s Book Week Nov. 8-14, there will be handouts with books, activity sheets, crayons, etc. The theme is “Reading is a Superpower. She wants to mass mail patrons with library news. | See everychildareader.net. Also, regarding the Summer Reading Program, check out OO-Oceans-of-Possibilities-Full-Manual.pdf Helen will research the “how to” of this. |
Publicity | Looking for feedback on Facebook, Helen asked, “What are you reading this month?” and had a few responses. Liz reports a new “theme” on the website. | Check out hartlandpubliclibrary.org as well as the Facebook page. |
Book Club | Ellie reports that the new meeting time, 6 pm, and space, near the computers, are working well. There may be a Zoom option this winter. | Look on Facebook or the website for December’s book title. |
Old Business | The Book Sale netted $78 and is on-going. Regarding a garden, Irene notes there is room for vegies on the south side of the building. | Come select from the many titles and CD’s. Any one available to work in the garden? |
New Business | A day pass covers most of Maine’s parks. | Lorrie will research procuring one for parks as well as the Children’s Museum in Bangor. |
