The Zoom Meeting was from 6:05 to 7:03 pm.
Of the 1/21/21 meeting
Dues and a donation and a payment to Liz for the website fees brought the balance to $2383.
Helen reports that we continue to get published in the RTE, and that Principal Suprenant responds favorably to monthly outreach. Since the Chamber isn’t publishing our notices, should we become a dues-paying member?
Helen will contact Susan Bowman at the C of C.
1 of the 2 trustee vacancies has been filled: Sarah Fitzmaurice.
Liz updates the website regularly.
Virtual Storytime is using beginner chapter books.
Virtual Book Club meets monthly. Interested in joining? See Nick.
Grants have been submitted toward the New Library.
So far, no response to the Essay Contest.
Summer Reading Program: Theme is “Tails & Tales” Nick is re-working prizes.Volunteers and ideas welcome.
Outdoors might be OK.
Spring Plant Sale: Date will be 5/22, from 9 to 11 am. Ask for community to contribute perennials, seedlings, houseplants, seeds…
Read Maine: The books are Mainely Power, a mystery by Matt Cost, and Mill Town, non-fiction by Kerri Arsenault on growing up in Rumford. Open to the community.
We voted to split the cost of the books with the Board, as usual.
Register in May.
No Reading Carnival due to the pandemic.
