Current balance: $548.88. Liz will be reimbursed $59.00.
Was expressed to all who worked on Family Reading Fair, to Liz for the website, and to Tim for Rainsticks

Bulletin Boards have been made for Read ME and Pen Pals
Helen submits info to RTE.
Summer Reading Program: We need to inform the schools.(homeschools?). Beth will talk with Jessica Badger, Mary Beth Skank, school librarians. Flyers at the Union Church and Hartland Christian School may be sent.
Yard Sale 6/2, 9 am – 1 pm, with a work day 6/1. Please bring donated items downstairs close to or on 6/1.
Portland Seadogs offer free tickets for children participating in SRP. Nick will secure tickets.
Dollar General Grant – John may pursue this.
Grant for author visit at middle school – Beth may talk with the librarian at the middle school.
Travel Talk: Africa & Antarctic – 4/27, 3:30 pm. compassroseimages.com
Children’s Crafts: bird houses – 5/19, 11 am, with Frank, Jeannie, & Brianna; Kathie will help.
Paint Night – Nick will ask Jessie if she wants to do another one.

July: River Talk by C.B.Anderson; Aug.: Notes from the Edge of Town by Susan Hand Shetterly. These books are available in our library. Possible final book discussion with one of the authors, Pittsfield’s group, our group, and Newport’s group.
We don’t yet have enough members to choose officers. Possible annual meeting in the fall.
Ellie reported that the Family Reading Carnival was over-the-top: @1000 books went home, left-overs will be used next year, the new location was a “scramble” but good….Tim adds that his family had a blast. Lots of activities, including the microscope, Reading Theater, animals….
Pen Pal Exchange – This will be with Hartland P.L. in Hartland, WI. See bull. board.
International Peace Day, 9/21. The Reading Group will choose a book on peace.
Display Case – shells and rocks may be displayed.
Bird house craft – Please bring nesting materials to next meeting.
